How the sensor works
When the battery unit points down and your dog moves, the light switches on automatically. When the battery unit points up, it goes out by itself after about a minute. That way the light only burns when it is needed – and your batteries last longer. Prefer to switch it yourself? Choose the Premium version with magnetic sensor.
Batteries or charging?
On the Plus and Mini the light slowly dims as the batteries empty – one set often lasts a whole winter season. The Easy Charge is best charged overnight once a week on the included charging station: overcharging is impossible.
The right size in 30 seconds
Measure your dog's head circumference at the widest point, directly in front of the ears. If your value falls between two sizes, choose the smaller one. The Mini runs from 25 to 32.5 cm, Plus and Easy Charge from 35 to 70 cm.
Complete the set
Never attach the leash to the LEUCHTIE – it is a visibility collar, not a lead collar. Combine it with a handcrafted Biothane collar, a Biothane leash or a collar with name and phone number from our configurator.
