Collar with Print: Your Own Text on the Biothane Collar
A Biothane collar from adorit.be comes with or without a print. The print is the name and/or phone number of your dog — printed in a print colour you choose yourself. We make every collar with print by hand, to the neck circumference you specify. This guide explains which characters are possible for the print, how to put together your print collar in the shop and what to watch for so the print stays short and easy to read.
What is the print?
The print is your own text on the collar. On our collars with print you choose two colours separately from each other: the colour of the Biothane strap and the colour of the print. That way you decide yourself how strongly your text stands out — for example a dark print colour on a light strap or the other way round. You choose both colours directly in the shop, without any extra steps.
What goes on the strap is your decision alone. The classic choice is the dog's name, often with a phone number after it: whoever finds a runaway dog immediately knows who to call. That way the chip does not first have to be read out laboriously — in the worst case it might not even be registered.
Every collar with print is made to measure: we handcraft it to the neck circumference you specify.

How to order your print collar
You put your collar together entirely on the product page. In this order:
- Choose the model. The collar with print is available as a 19 mm version with pin buckle (19 mm with print), as a 25 mm version with pin buckle (25 mm with print) and as the Bicolor model in 25/50 mm (Bicolor with print).
- Choose the colour of the collar. The selection list „Biothane Color" shows you all available colours for the collar.
- Choose the print colour. The second list, „Print Colour", sets the colour of your text. Best choose a colour that stands out clearly from the collar color.
- Enter print text and neck circumference. In the fields provided you type the requested text of your print and your dog's neck circumference.
- Measure beforehand. How to determine the neck circumference carefully with the measuring tape is explained step by step in our measuring guide — a good measurement is the starting point of every order.
- Put it in the shopping cart and order as usual. We then handcraft your collar.
Tips for the perfect print
- Keep it short. A short print stays the most readable and needs less space on the strap. Spaces in a phone number, for example, take up unnecessary space.
- Capital letters. A print in capital letters is optimally readable on the strap. Lower-case letters are converted automatically.
- Choose contrast. A dark print on a light strap — or the other way round — reads more easily than colours that are more similar.

Are emojis possible in the print?
No. Emojis are among the characters the print program does not accept.
What happens to lower-case letters?
They are automatically converted to capital letters.
How long may the print text be?
There is no fixed maximum — but shorter is better: the shorter the print, the better readable and the less space it needs on the strap. Name and phone number fit well.
